About Me


I love food, and I love cooking and baking even more. After graduating college, I landed a "career" job. I hated it. I would come home from work every night and bake cupcakes or cookies. Baking became my outlet.

I quit my job, enrolled at Johnson & Wales, and earned my degree in Baking & Pastry Arts. To say I loved culinary school would be an understatement.

Now my main focus is caring for my husband, son, and daughter. 


We live in coastal North Carolina.  There are 4 options for buying groceries- the local Farmer's Market, Food Lion, Piggly Wiggly, and Walmart.  You won't find me making anything too crazy, because these stores don't have a lot of exotic ingredients (or "trendy" ingredients).  I have seen pickled pigs feet at Piggly Wiggly, but a jar of pickled pigs feet has never been on my shopping list, what would you even do with that?
